Mehfyl: a social platform for students

Mehfyl is a social platform built only for students. General social apps are noisy and open to everyone, which makes it hard for students to find events and people who actually share their interests. Mehfyl set out to give students a space of their own.

Sprout built the platform full stack, with university-verified accounts so the community stays student-only. Students can discover events by interest, create their own, build circles of like-minded people, and split travel costs when they plan trips together.

Students get a focused place to find plans and people, without the noise of a general social network. Verified accounts keep the community trusted, and trip cost splitting makes group plans easier to pull off.
