Muhammad Ahmad Waseem

Waseem is Sprout's tech lead. Alongside a software engineering role at Dal, a Saudi regtech startup, Waseem works part time with Sprout, supervising the engineers on each squad and owning architecture and code review. Waseem was one of the founding engineers at Kollegio AI, building its AI features end to end in React, Node.js and Python (FastAPI) on PostgreSQL, along with the data pipelines that keep its college information current.
Waseem has since worked as a software engineer at Careem, on the Superapp's iOS miniapps and Go services, and at Dal on a compliance platform for financial institutions. Earlier, at Gasame, Waseem built retrieval-augmented chatbots on the OpenAI API. Waseem studied Computer Science at LUMS.
